1.20 Ct. Purplish Pink Rhodolite Garnet

One transparent 1.20 carat oval purplish pink rhodolite garnet is offered by us, presented with clear specifications to support informed decisions for custom jewelry design. The stone measures 7.70 x 5.74 x 3.40 mm, a proportion that sits comfortably within common mounting frameworks while retaining a presence appropriate for solitaire and accent applications. The gem is fashioned in an oval shape with a mixed brilliant cut, a combination of step and brilliant faceting that balances face up brilliance with depth and table preservation. Clarity is graded as slightly included when evaluated at eye level, a designation that indicates natural internal characteristics that do not significantly detract from appearance under normal viewing. Color is described as purplish pink with medium color intensity, a hue that reads as a sophisticated and feminine tone in a range of lighting environments. The polish is excellent, facilitating strong light return and a refined surface finish. There is no enhancement applied to this rhodolite garnet, and origin is Ceylon Sri Lanka, an established source for high quality garnets and other colored gemstones. The mixed brilliant cut on this oval rhodolite garnet is a deliberate choice for designers and clients seeking a gemstone that offers both sparkle and controlled color saturation. The brilliant facets on the crown maximize scintillation and lively reflections, while the mixed pavilion faceting helps preserve weight and lend a pleasing depth that prevents the stone from appearing thin or washed out. The oval outline contributes to flexible design options, allowing the gem to be set longitudinally or transversely to alter perceived finger length or to create dynamic compositions in multi stone settings. The dimensions of 7.70 x 5.74 x 3.40 mm translate into a measurable visual footprint that is near ideal for medium scale rings, refined pendants, and bespoke earrings. The slightly included clarity grade is typical for natural garnets and is often acceptable in fine jewelry where the cut and polish are strong. In this instance, the excellent polish mitigates minor internal features by ensuring unhindered light performance and smooth bezel seating for secure settings. For custom jewelry applications the combination of size, shape, and cut renders this rhodolite highly adaptable and reliable. The oval form is particularly suited to classic solitaire rings where it provides a flattering elongation on the finger, and it is equally effective in halo or three stone designs where the center stone benefits from surrounding accent diamonds or colored gems. Its dimensions lend themselves to an east west setting for a contemporary look, or to mirrored pairs for balanced drop earrings. In pendant work the gem offers a substantial yet elegant profile that sits close to the neckline, maintaining visual interest without overwhelming complementary design elements. From a practical standpoint rhodolite garnet has a hardness and toughness profile that allows for everyday wear when mounted with appropriate protection, for example in bezel or secure prong settings. The absence of enhancements means the stone will retain its natural appearance through routine cleaning and normal wear, and it simplifies considerations for future repolishing or refitting. Provenance and presentation are important factors for clients commissioning custom pieces, and this rhodolite garnet from Ceylon Sri Lanka is documented with precise measurements and gemological attributes to support design and appraisal processes. We provide this information to facilitate accurate CAD modeling, wax carving, and hand fabrication, ensuring that bench work aligns with the stone geometry and optical characteristics. The medium color intensity and the purplish pink tone integrate well with both warm and cool metal choices, making the gem a versatile selection for yellow gold, rose gold, and white metals. Designers will appreciate the stone for its predictability in setting, consistent polish, and natural charm. For clients seeking a single centerstone or a matched pair across a bespoke project, the technical details supplied here enable confident planning and efficient production, without need for speculative assumptions about treatment or origin.
