2.11 Ct. Yellowish Brown Zircon

In the quiet way that only truly timeless gems can, this beautiful transparent yellowish brown zircon speaks of centuries of refinement and of craftsman hands that have long known how to draw light from stone. Offered by us, this cushion shape zircon weighs 2.11 carat and measures 6.99 by 6.97 by 4.02 mm, a pleasing balance of presence and wearability. The checkerboard cut on its table gives a modern play of light, yet the classic cushion silhouette recalls heirloom rings and legacy pieces that have been passed from one generation to the next. The color sits at a medium intense level, a warm and sophisticated hue that moves between golden amber and soft tea, allowing the stone to harmonize with warm golds and rich bronzes as readily as with aged silvers. An excellent polish brings a mirror like finish to each facet face, while the clarity grade of slightly included evaluated at eye level gives the gem a natural character and depth, a reminder that it is unenhanced and wholly of the earth. This zircon comes to you with no enhancement, straight from Madagascar, a region esteemed for producing stones with remarkable brilliance and terroir that tells a story in every facet. Zircon carries with it a history that reaches back into ancient trade routes and early lapidary lore, a gem that long preceded modern tastes and yet remains deeply relevant to classic design sensibilities. Historically cherished for its natural fire and clarity, zircon was sought by collectors and jewelers for its ability to imitate the luminosity of more costly stones while offering its own unique warmth and refractive personality. From royal cabinets to private collections, stones like this Madagascar zircon have been set into signet rings, pendant reliquaries, and brooches that mark important moments. The cushion cut itself has roots in antique cut traditions, a silhouette that flatters a variety of settings and translates elegantly into pieces meant to last. Owning this piece is to connect with a lineage of taste that values provenance, artisanal cutting, and the subtle complexity of natural inclusions. The slightly included clarity seen here is not a flaw in the classical sense, but a signature that verifies origin and authenticity, a mark of a gem that has traveled from deep geological history into the hands of expert cutters and then into the curated selection. Beyond its storied past, this zircon is also a practical choice for daily wear, a fine balance of durability and classic beauty when set with thoughtful protection. Zircon ranks as a robust gem with a hardness and stability that respond well to conventional jewelry settings, and the excellent polish and precision of the checkerboard cut help to minimize surface vulnerability by creating smooth, well defined facets. The moderate proportions of this 6.99 by 6.97 by 4.02 mm cushion allow it to sit comfortably within secure prong settings or within a bezel for additional protection, both options that preserve the gem for everyday use while honoring its antique charm. Slight inclusions, visible at eye level, do not detract from the gem, and in many ways they absorb and refract light to emphasize the stones warm tonal range. Regular care, such as avoiding harsh knocks and cleaning with mild soap and a soft brush, will maintain the stones brilliance for decades, making it an excellent candidate for a daily ring, a pendant close to the heart, or even a pair of classic cufflinks for those who appreciate understated heritage. The durability and visual resilience of this zircon blend with its historic character to offer an enduring, wearable piece. For those who are drawn to legacy, this Madagascar zircon presents a rare opportunity to own a gem that is as much a piece of history as it is a contemporary jewel. The spectral warmth of the medium intense yellowish brown hue pairs beautifully with warm metals and antique inspired settings, while the cushion shape and checkerboard cut ensure that each viewing reveals new flashes of color and depth. With a weight of 2.11 carat and impeccable dimensions, this stone is substantial without being ostentatious, ideal for a client who values understated luxury and lasting quality. We recommend settings that emphasize protection and frame, such as a low profile bezel or a four to six prong design with a secure gallery, to balance daily wearability with the desire to showcase the gems natural beauty. As a natural, untreated zircon from Madagascar with excellent polish and a slightly included clarity grade evaluated at eye level, it is a genuine expression of nature and craftsmanship presented by us.
