5.07 Ct. Green Prasiolite

Cradle of quiet forests, wakeful garden under morning light, this transparent 5.07 carat round prasiolite arrives like a secret love letter from Brazil, its dimensions 11.16 x 11.03 x 7.59 mm a comforting measure of presence, its faceted, mixed brilliant cut a choreography of light. The hand of the lapidary is evident in the excellent polish, the gentle symmetry that lets each facet become a mirror for the world, and in the way the stone sits true and honest against the skin. Very very slightly included evaluated at eye level, it carries its little natural whispers with grace, a testament to authenticity rather than flaw, and with medium color intensity it reads as verdant and welcoming rather than a shout. This prasiolite has been heat treated in a careful, controlled way to awaken and steady its green, and when you choose this jewel you choose a quiet promise, a promise of green that feels like renewal and devotion. If you have loved other legendary greens, imagine how this stone will sing beside them, how its voice will be uniquely tender. It is softer, more pastoral than the deep, regal green of a Colombian emerald, less intense and more transparent than the dense, bluish greens often found in Zambian emeralds. Compared to the grassy, saturated fire of an East African tsavorite, this Brazilian prasiolite is more demure and luminous, like first leaves in early spring rather than the noonday glint of midsummer. Against the vivid, almost incandescent green of Russian demantoid garnet it is cooler and calmer, yet it returns light with a clarity that can rival many peridots from Arizona and Pakistan, while feeling purer and less olive than some Mediterranean greens. The mixed brilliant cut spreads glitter like scattered stars, the medium color intensity makes it versatile for both an intimate engagement ring and a treasured pendant, and the stone???s origin in Brazil gives it a provenance that whispers of sun warmed rivers and patient earth. This prasiolite becomes not only a jewel, but a small green world to hold, a piece of romantic landscape to carry with you, a soft green vow that will age into memory.
