0.85 Ct. White Zircon

This listing describes a single, transparent white zircon of exceptional natural quality, supplied by us. The gem weighs 0.85 carat and is cut to a round shape with precise dimensions of 5.22 x 5.23 x 3.63 mm. The cutting style is a mixed brilliant cut, engineered to balance table reflection and pavilion brilliance for a lively appearance in hand. Clarity has been graded as eye clean when viewed at eye level, allowing the stone to read as visually pure in most settings. Color intensity is near colorless, offering a restrained white tone without the overt coolness of a laboratory whitened stone. Surface finish is rated excellent in polish, and there has been no enhancement applied to alter the gem. Origin is Ceylon Sri Lanka, a source known for transparent zircons with strong natural luster and optical clarity. The near colorless white of this zircon adapts easily to a wide range of skin tones when set in jewelry, and subtle differences in metal and mounting can influence perception. Against fair and cool undertone skin tones, settings in white metals such as platinum or white gold will emphasize the stone central brightness and produce a crisp, modern look. The combination creates a unified cool palette that enhances the apparent whiteness of the zircon, while maintaining natural sparkle. For warm undertone and olive skin tones, the same near colorless body will benefit from the warmth of yellow gold, which adds a soft contrast and brings forward any faint warm undertones within the stone, resulting in a more integrated and slightly vintage aesthetic. Rose gold settings introduce a faint rosy halo effect that complements both light and medium tones, softening the overall presentation and creating a flattering reflected color that can read as warmer than the stone alone. When considering deep or richly pigmented skin tones, the white zircon offers luminous contrast and an elegant focal point. In these contexts, a simple solitaire setting allows the zircon to act as a bright accent, the near colorless body standing out cleanly against richer backgrounds. A halo of smaller warm or cool accent stones can be used to tune the overall effect, either by reinforcing brightness with white melee stones, or by introducing warmth with champagne or light yellow accents. The mixed brilliant cut contributes to strong return of light, so movement and environmental lighting will produce flashes of white light and subtle spectral dispersion. In natural daylight the stone reads very nearly colorless, while under incandescent lighting the slight dispersion can produce appealing hints of color without overwhelming the underlying white tone. The excellent polish ensures smooth, mirror like facets that aid in quick recovery of brilliance after cleaning or wear. Practical considerations for setting and wear are straightforward given the stone proportions and clarity. The 0.85 carat size and round outline are well suited to classic solitaire rings, bezel settings for a secure everyday option, and delicate pendant mounts where the mixed brilliant cut will deliver maximum sparkle. The eye clean clarity grade allows for open style settings that showcase the table, while the near colorless grade gives design flexibility across metal choices. Because no enhancement has been applied, the stone maintains natural stability in color and optical properties, and routine care involves standard cleaning with warm, soapy water and a soft brush. This white zircon from Ceylon Sri Lanka represents a natural, versatile choice for a range of designs, and its balanced optical and physical characteristics make it a reliable candidate for pieces that require consistent brightness and adaptability to different skin tones.
